Bill Zapalac (Willie Frank Zapalac, Jr) was born on September 1, 1948 in Bellville, Texas. After going to high school at Bellville (TX), Zapalac attended the University of Texas. Zapalac made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 3 year career.
