Bill Winter (William Ross Winter) was born on January 28, 1940 in Milbank, South Dakota. After going to high school at Spring Valley (MN), Winter attended St. Olaf College. Winter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Bill Winter's best year.
