Born on January 15, 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio, Bill Wertz (William Charles Wertz) played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 2 year career. Wertz broke into the bigs on May 22, 1993 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.62 ERA in 59.2 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.
