Born on February 25, 1911 in Portland, Maine, Bill Weir (William Franklin Weir) played for the Boston Braves for his entire 4 year career. Weir broke into the bigs on June 25, 1936 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 2.83 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched in 1936, his rookie year.
