Born on October 27, 1952 in Norwood, Massachusetts, Bill Travers (William Edward Travers) played for the Milwaukee Brewers and California Angels over the course of his 9 year career. Travers broke into the bigs on May 19, 1974 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and proceeded to put up a 4.92 ERA in 53 innings pitched during his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Travers's best season was 1976, when he posted a 2.81 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 120 batters.
