Bill Tierney (William J. Tierney) was born on May 14, 1858 in Boston, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1882 for the Cincinnati Reds. Tierney played for the Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Unions over the course of his 2 year career.
