Bill Stribling (Majure Blanks Stribling) was born on November 5, 1926 in Edinburg, Mississippi. After going to high school at Philadelphia (MS), Stribling attended the University of Mississippi. Stribling made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the New York Giants. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1955 was Bill Stribling's best year, as he hauled in 38 receptions, had 568 receiving yards and caught 6 TD passes.
