Bill Springsteen (William Watson Springsteen) was born on October 27, 1899 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Northwestern (Detroit, MI), Springsteen attended Lehigh University. Springsteen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Frankford Yellow Jackets over the course of his 4 year career.
