Born on July 8, 1938 in Springfield, Massachusetts, Bill Spanswick (William Henry Spanswick) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 1 year career. Spanswick broke into the bigs on April 18, 1964 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 6.89 ERA in 65.1 innings pitched in 1964, his rookie year.
