Bill Sommers (William Dunn Sommers) was born on February 17, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 25, 1950 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1950, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 0 home runs and 14 RBI. Sommers played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 1 year career.
