Born on April 24, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, Bill Singer (William Robert Singer) played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 14 year career. Singer broke into the bigs on September 24, 1964 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and put up a 2.64 ERA in 204.1 innings pitched in 1967, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Singer's best season was 1969, when he posted a 2.34 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 247 batters.
