Bill Simmons: Stop Writing Only about the NBA

The sad thing is, Bill Simmons' book "Now I Can Die in Peace" about the Boston Red Sox World Series championship (I know, we've all heard way too much about it) was some of his best work. I realize the guy loves the NBA, and thanks to Armchair, I certainly don't rely on him for entertaining sportswriting, but where is the love for baseball?
Does he realize that the interminable NBA season ended long ago, mercifully? I want to know what he has to say about Jered Weaver replacing Jeff Weaver, about the All-Star injustices involving Redman, Schilling, and Liriano, even about his Red Sox' chances for the playoffs. Anything, please. Baseball players seem like much more interesting guys.
I honestly don't care much about the theoretical trade value of NBA stars who will almost never be traded. (Though there seem to be more major NBA trades than in other sports.) He's the Sports Guy, not the NBA Guy.
Let's push for some good baseball writing that isn't locked to ESPN.com "Insiders."
