Bill Scarpino (William Scarpino) was born on April 23, 1897. After going to high school at North (Des Moines, IA), Scarpino attended Des Moines University. Scarpino made his professional debut in the AFLG in 1926 with the Rock Island Independents. He played for the Rock Island Independents for his entire 1 year career.
