Bill Sarni

Bill Sarni (William Florine Sarni) was born on September 19, 1927 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on May 9, 1951 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1954, his rookie year, he hit .300 with 9 home runs and 70 RBI. Sarni played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Bill Sarni's best season was 1954, when he hit for a .300 average and knocked in 70 runs.
