Bill Sampen

Born on January 18, 1963 in Lincoln, Illinois, Bill Sampen (William Albert Sampen) played for the Montreal Expos, Kansas City Royals and California Angels over the course of his 5 year career. Sampen broke into the bigs on April 10, 1990 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.99 ERA in 90.1 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Bill Sampen's best season was 1990, when he posted a 2.99 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 69 batters.
