Born on October 9, 1873 in Cleveland, Ohio, Bill Reidy (William Joseph Reidy) played for the New York Giants, Brooklyn Superbas, Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 6 year career. Reidy broke into the bigs on July 21, 1896 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.21 ERA in 301.1 innings pitched in 1901, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Reidy's best season was 1901, when he posted a 4.21 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 50 batters.
