Bill Powell

Born on May 8, 1885 in Taylor County, West Virginia, Bill Powell (William Burris Powell) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Powell broke into the bigs on April 16, 1909 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.40 ERA in 75 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
