Born on June 7, 1877 in St. Louis, Missouri, Bill Popp (William Peter Popp) played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 1 year career. Popp broke into the bigs on April 19, 1902 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.92 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched in 1902, his rookie year.
