Born on August 17, 1948 in Riverside, California, Bill Parsons (William Raymond Parsons) played for the Milwaukee Brewers and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 4 year career. Parsons broke into the bigs on April 13, 1971 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 3.20 ERA in 244.2 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Bill Parsons's best season was 1971, when he posted a 3.20 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 139 batters.
