Bill Owen (William Criswell Owen) was born on September 29, 1903 in Aline, Oklahoma. Owen attended Oklahoma State University and Phillips Community College. Owen made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, Detroit wolverines and Cleveland Bulldogs over the course of his 11 year career.
