Bill McGunnigle (William Henry McGunnigle) was born on January 1, 1855 in Boston, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1879 for the Buffalo Bisons. In 1879, his rookie year, he hit .175 with 0 home runs and 5 RBI. McGunnigle played for the Buffalo Bisons, Worcester Ruby Legs and Cleveland Spiders over the course of his 3 year career.
