Born on June 7, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bill McCahan (William Glenn McCahan) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 4 year career. McCahan broke into the bigs on September 15, 1946 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.32 ERA in 165.1 innings pitched in 1947, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Bill McCahan's best season was 1947, when he posted a 3.32 ERA and won 10 games.
