Bill Madlock (Bill Madlock) was born on January 2, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on September 7, 1973 for the Texas Rangers. In 1974, his rookie year, he hit .313 with 9 home runs and 54 RBI. Madlock played for the Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 15 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Bill Madlock's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1982, when he slugged 19 home runs, hit for a .319 average and knocked in 95 runs. However, others believe that it was 1979, when he stole 32 bases, hit for a .298 average and knocked in 85 runs.
