Born on March 28, 1929 in Alameda, California, Bill Macdonald (William Paul Macdonald) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 2 year career. Macdonald broke into the bigs on May 6, 1950 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.29 ERA in 153 innings pitched in 1950, his rookie year.
