Bill Leckonby (William Bader Leckonby) was born on September 16, 1917 in Greenville, Ohio. Leckonby attended St. Lawrence University. Leckonby made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 3 year career.
