Bill Lapham (William Gaius Lapham) was born on February 2, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa. After going to high school at Lincoln (Des Moines, IA), Lapham attended Drake University and the University of Iowa. Lapham made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 2 year career.
