Bill Kovacsy (William George Kovacsy) was born on February 15, 1901 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After going to high school at Hammond (IN), Kovacsy attended the University of Illinois. Kovacsy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1923 with the Hammond Pros. He played for the Hammond Pros for his entire 1 year career.
