Bill Kern (William Franklin Kern) was born on September 2, 1906 in Kingston, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Wyoming Seminary (Kingston, PA), Kern attended the University of Pittsburgh. Kern made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 2 year career.
