Bill Higgins (William Edward Higgins) was born on September 8, 1861 in Wilmington, Delaware. He made his Major League debut on August 9, 1888 for the Boston Beaneaters. In 1890, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 0 home runs and 36 RBI. Higgins played for the Boston Beaneaters, [[]] and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 2 year career.
