Born on September 25, 1945 in Covington, Virginia, Bill Hepler (William Lewis Hepler) played for the New York Mets for his entire 1 year career. Hepler broke into the bigs on April 23, 1966 with the New York Mets, and put up a 3.52 ERA in 69 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.
