Bill Hartman (William Coleman Hartman, Jr.) was born on March 17, 1915 in Thomaston, Georgia. After going to high school at Georgia Military Institute (Milledgeville, GA) and Upson (Thomaston, GA), Hartman attended the University of Georgia. Hartman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
