Bill Halverson (William Meral Halverson) was born on August 2, 1918 in Spokane, Washington. After going to high school at Benson Polytechnic (Portland, OR), Halverson attended Oregon State University. Halverson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
