Born on August 4, 1902 in Binghamton, New York, Bill Hallahan (William Anthony Hallahan) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 12 year career. Hallahan broke into the bigs on April 16, 1925 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.65 ERA in 56.2 innings pitched in 1926, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Hallahan's best season was 1931, when he posted a 3.29 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 159 batters.
