Born on February 20, 1959 in Marshall, Minnesota, Bill Gullickson (William Lee Gullickson) played for the Montreal Expos, Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 14 year career. Gullickson broke into the bigs on September 26, 1979 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 3.00 ERA in 141 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Bill Gullickson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1991, when he posted a 3.90 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 91 batters. However, others believe that it was 1982, when he posted a 3.57 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 155 batters.
