Bill Groman (William Frederick Groman) was born on July 17, 1936 in Tiffin, Ohio. After going to high school at Columbian (Tiffin, OH), Groman attended Heidelberg College. Groman made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Bill Groman's best year, as he hauled in 72 receptions, had 1473 receiving yards and caught 12 TD passes.
