Bill Greenwood (William F. Greenwood) was born on 1857 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 16, 1882 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1884, his rookie year, he hit .216 with 3 home runs and 0 RBI. Greenwood played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Brooklyn Trolley Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, Columbus Colts and Rochester Hop Bitters over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Bill Greenwood's best season was 1887, when he stole 71 bases and knocked in 65 runs.
