Bill Garrett (William D. Garrett, Jr.) was born on August 12, 1926 in Dundee, Mississippi. After going to high school at Dundee (MS), Garrett attended Mississippi State University. Garrett made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Baltimore Colts. He played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Baltimore Colts the entire time. Garrett also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.
Most people believe that 1950 was Bill Garrett's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles and ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
