Bill Fleckenstein (William P. Fleckenstein) was born on November 4, 1903 in Fairbault, Minnesota. After going to high school at Fairbault (MN), Fleckenstein attended Carleton College and the University of Iowa. Fleckenstein made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears, Frankford Yellow Jackets and Portsmouth Spartans over the course of his 7 year career.
