Born on April 21, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill Faul (William Alvan Faul) played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 6 year career. Faul broke into the bigs on September 19, 1962 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 4.64 ERA in 97 innings pitched in 1963, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Faul's best season was 1965, when he posted a 3.54 ERA and struck out 59 batters.
