Born on June 29, 1925 in Alberta, Virginia, Bill Connelly (William Wirt Connelly) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and New York Giants over the course of his 4 year career. Connelly broke into the bigs on August 22, 1945 with the Philadelphia Athletics.
