Born on September 5, 1873 in Erie, Pennsylvania, Bill Carrick (William Martin Carrick) played for the New York Giants and Washington Senators over the course of his 5 year career. Carrick broke into the bigs on July 30, 1898 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.65 ERA in 361.2 innings pitched in 1899, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Bill Carrick's best season was 1900, when he posted a 3.53 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 63 batters.
