Bill Bowman (William Ekron Bowman, Jr.) was born on September 22, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama. After going to high school at Emporia (VA) and Riverside Military Acadmey (VA), Bowman attended The College of William & Mary. Bowman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1954 was Bill Bowman's best year, as he ran back a kickoff for a touchdown.
