Bill Baumgartner (William R. Baumgartner) was born on April 17, 1921 in Duluth, Minnesota. After going to high school at Denfeld (Duluth, MN), Baumgartner attended the University of Minnesota. Baumgartner made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts for his entire 1 year career.
