Big Papi rated "JUST RIGHT"

Someone had to do this... might as well be Manny "Dr Commento" Stiles
After contemplating this and that, I decided to settle this matter.
According to Einstein, (and keeping it simple) everything is relative. In order to discuss whether something is above or below its rating, or "Overrated/Underrated" one must define what that rating is. THEN, we can begin to understand what "overated" and "Underated". (Is there a proper spelling of Over-rated and Under-rated?)
Most things like this fall into the category of "Personal Taste": for instance, I think Carmen Electra is skankish. Some of you may think she's hot! To me she's is pukingly OVER RATED, to you, maybe she's "Under rated" since she's not constantly in the spotlight spreading her talents around the world... (Maybe you enjoy Dennis Rodman's sloppy seconds).
What the O!F is the point here? ArmchairGM is a place to SHARE your opinions, not fight like cats in heat because you have differing opinions. Let's face it... NO opinion is wrong, but no opinion will ever be absolute truth except to the holder of that opinion.
Much like you'll rarely be successful in changing someone's religeous or political views, your attempts at swaying each other's sports opinions will lead only to frustration, anger and endless ridicule and mocking from me...
Now, I'm all for a rousing Red Sox - Yankees squabble, since living in a West Coast NL city, I only get to see those teams on TV like 4-5 times a week, so I like to have the fanaticals keep me updated on every molecule of the 'rivalry'.
See, I'm not saying to stop these debates, but keep a sense of better judgement about you. Arguing with a fool only makes it tough for people to tell you apart.
To sum it up, I think overrated and underrated are among the dumbest cliches in sports. In my anti-humble opinion, David Ortiz is rated.
