Bibbles Bawel (Edward Raymond Bawel) was born on November 21, 1930 in Boonville, Indiana. After going to high school at Boonville (IN), Bawel attended the University of Evansville. Bawel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1955 was Bibbles Bawel's best year, as he picked off 9 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
