In a previous “Picture Game”, I asked who was the ‘Better CFL Flutie’, Doug or Darren. With the voting thus far at 23 votes it looks like the user-ship of armchairgm has voted Doug as the winner. Whether this is because he is a betterplayer, than his younger brother, or because he has better name recognition, I leave that up to you.
To further enhance this discussion, I will list some CFL facts about each player with stats included on each player. Doug Flutie’s career in the CFL began with the British Columbia Lions in 1990. Doug played in 16 games for the Lions that “rookie” season. In 1991, Doug started 18 games for the Lions. In that year, he threw for a record 6,619 yards. He was also named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player for the first time. In 1992 Doug was traded to the Calgary Stampeders. He led the Stamps to a victory in the 1992 Grey Cup. In 1994, Dougthrew for a record 48 touchdown passes. In 1996 Doug started for the Toronto Argonauts. He led the Argos to back-to-back Grey Cup championships in 1996 and 1997. In his career in the CFL, Doug was named the CFL’s Most Valuable Player a record six times and he was named the MVP in all three of his Grey Cup appearances.
On May 8, 2007 Doug was inducted to Canada’s Sport Hall of Fame, becoming the first non-Canadian inductee.

When I put up the "Picture Game", I voted for Darren. In a numbers comparison between QBs, Doug is a good player at the position but not great. On the other hand, Darren is one of the elite among WRs.
I seems to me that the voting on the "Picture Game" is more based upon name recognition than on the stats.
