We never know the WHOLE story. The media gives us the 'story' and often we have to fill in the gaps... but every so often, tidbits from behind the scenes come out and seem to real to be fake and too fake to be real.
Either way, there are lots of stories floating around and sometimes you hear them from more than one source.
"You're with me, leather!" is a fine example. A story that would never get printed but still has a life on it's own.
This stuff has NO place for it in serious journalism. But fans know, want to know or wish they knew!
I'll share some with you that I can remember from YEARS ago...then you can add your own. Don't just make them up, add stories you have heard more than once, not just made up or hoped to be true. No Barry Bonds banged a Tranny or T.O. in bandcamp stories... things you heard that may/may not be true, but would be believeable either way.

Kordell Stewart
The Kordell Stewart Rumor: I heard from several people who were enrolled at Pitt at the time that when Kordell was a Steeler there was a college party and someone busted into a "wrong room" and found a naked Slash in a bed with a male student at the time. I laughed and shrugged it off, but I heard the same story from another source later and thought... "Hmmm...."
Rex Grossman
When Rex Grossman was still at UF he was a partyer, no big deal; but I heard he was into Ecstasy pretty heavy. Then about a year later, a friend of mine said that it was commonly known Rex was into the scene so much he was dubbed "Rexstasy Grossman".
Alex Rodriguez
It has often jokingly been said that A-Rod is gay, but I've also heard exploits of his "accomplishments" through various sources. In fact, I heard a story that before they were teammates A-Rod and Jeter went out on the town and picked up a bevy of girls to return with them for more "partying". The story goes that A-Rod acts as bouncer and kicked out any girls who weren't there for sex or were ugly. Then the story goes that one of the girls Derek Jeter was 'good friends with' was rudely mistreated by A-Rod causing a rift between the two good buddies.
