Bert Jones (Bertram Hays Jones) was born on September 7, 1951 in Ruston, Louisiana. After going to high school at Ruston (LA), Jones attended Louisiana State University. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Bert Jones's best year, as he threw for 3104 yards, tossed 24 TDs and put up a 102.5 passer rating.
