Bernie Gallagher (Bernard J. Gallagher) was born on November 8, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Southeast Catholic (Philadelphia, PA), Gallagher attended Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania. Gallagher made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Los Angeles Dons. He played for the Los Angeles Dons for his entire 1 year career.
