Benny Meyer (Bernhard Meyer) was born on January 21, 1885 in Hematite, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 9, 1913 for the Brooklyn Superbas. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .304 with 5 home runs and 40 RBI. Meyer played for the Brooklyn Superbas, Baltimore Terrapins, Buffalo Blues and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Benny Meyer's best season was 1914, when he hit for a .304 average.
